What is a Packer?
In our collective mind, a packer, also called a "prosthesis", is any object (sock, silicone or otherwise) that allows any person of any gender to "wear a packer". At Transtienda, we have a number of different packs in different colors and materials that are made explicitly for this purpose.
How to choose a packer
An important thing to consider when choosing a packer is the material it is made of. You have them made of silicone and cyberskin. Both materials have advantages and disadvantages - read on for more details.
Silicone is non-porous, easy to clean and durable. If you find that you sometimes have reactions to some materials, we recommend that you try a silicone pack. Silicone also resists bleach better than porous materials like cyberskin, a good thing to keep in mind if you plan to frequent the neighborhood pool. Silicone is easy to keep clean: simply wash your silicone pack with mild soap and water after each use, and let it air dry. If you want to disinfect your pack, you can boil it for a few minutes. Many of the packs we carry are made with silicone, including companies such as California Exotics and TranStore.
Cyberskin is porous and will last a few years depending on how well it is cared for. However, cyberskin packs are cheaper, which means you don't have to commit a lot financially to buy a pack. Cyberskin is essentially made from a mixture of rubbers and mineral oil. As a result, you can clean it with soap and water; however, it is not as easy to keep clean as silicone. For this reason, we do not recommend sharing these products. You may want to lightly dust your cyberskin products with cornstarch (Cornstarch) to restore their velvety finish (and only after they are completely dry). Fleshlight manufactures our unique cyberskin packer, Mr. Limpy.
Also, don't forget to consider size. Packs may look small on your computer screen, but they look bigger once they're on. Our packs range in size from small to large. Choosing a size that works well for you is really a matter of personal preference, with a little trial and error added to the mix. Some people may want to consider their overall height and stature as a starting point. For example, someone who is 5'11" tall may choose a larger packer than someone who is 5'11" tall. Height and stature are not always an indicator of pack size, but keeping these things in mind can help you choose a size that is comfortable for you, especially if you are a first-time wearer. However, don't forget to go with your gut and choose what appeals to you. One of the benefits of exploring is that you can choose what type of pack you want Here are some details about the different styles of packs we carry:
Packers of Fleshlight:
The Fleshlight Packer, Mr. Limpy, comes in small to large, and is made of smooth, soft cyberskin. All Fleshlight packs sport a circumcised (cut out) design, along with balls that feature a flat base. These packs are very affordable and make an excellent first pack.
Packers California Exotics:
California Exotics, Packer Gear packers are an excellent choice for a more realistic look. These packers are made of silicone and have a veiny appearance that resembles the real thing. This silicone packer is also manufactured in various sizes ( 4" and 5") and colors to suit various body types and skin tones.
Despite its relatively large size, keeping it in place is not a problem when combined with focused garments for pack wear(harness or special briefs).
TranStore Packers:
The TranStore pack, made of silicone, is very affordable and has a dual function. Straight from Brazil, it is an excellent multi-purpose option for those who want a volume pack prosthesis and an STP (standing urination prosthesis) in one device. This dual pack is a flexible silicone prosthesis built to resemble a flaccid penis that gives you volume, while offering a thoughtful slanted design that makes urinating while standing very easy and at the same time provides volume when not at a urinal.
How to use a packer prosthesis
If you are new to wearing a prosthesis, it is a good idea to get used to your packer in a safe and comfortable place before venturing out in public. Consider the amount of time you plan to wear it over the course of a day and try it out in private. Stand, sit, bend, squat, jump, lie on the couch and see how it all moves and feels.
The packs can be tucked into tight underwear, special briefs or placed in a sock and attached with safety pins to pants or underwear, if you want to try using them without spending cash on specific harnesses to carry packs. However, we also offer harnesses and briefs for this purpose.
Care and Cleaning
Clean your prosthesis regularly with mild soap and water. If your packer is made of silicone, you can boil it for a few minutes to help disinfect it. Be sure to let your prosthesis air dry completely after washing. If your packer is made of cyberskin, you can sprinkle it with cornstarch (Cornstarch) after it is completely dry to help it retain a soft, silky feel.
